Book Of Sufi Healing By Shaykh Chishti
Book Of Sufi Healing
The Sufis see the healing of the sick as the most significant of all humanitarian services.
The author, based on the 800-year heritage of the Chishti Order, discloses the secret principles and practices of this holy science for the first time in the West.
The Prophet’s dietary advice, herbal formula production, essential oil healing, ailments appearing at various stages of the soul’s maturation, fasting and prayer, talismans, and the “infallible medicine” are only a few of the themes covered.
Hakim Chishti is a naturopathic physician and one of the only recognized Tibb practitioners in the U.S. As a Fulbright Research Scholar, he studied Tibb medicine in Afghanistan, and has participated in international health symposia in Afghanistan, India, and Pakistan.
Working from original material, he has translated the handbooks of Avicenna and the standard text on Tibb medicine, Mizan-ul-Tibb. He is the author of The Traditional Healer’s Handbook (Healing Arts Press, 1991).
