DRİVİNG THE SOULS TO THE ABODES OF HAPPİNESS

The author eloquently detailed the beauty and luxury of the Gardens, which Allah has prepared for those who sincerely believe in Him and do good deeds in accordance with what His Messenger, Allah’s peace and blessing be upon him.

He started the book by asserting that Paradise and Hell are created and they are in existence. He did so because there were groups among the Muslims who believed that they are not present at the moment and that Allah will create them when the Day of Judgement comes.

He refuted their claim and proved beyond doubt that both Paradise and Hell are in existence now. He quoted Abu ‘l-Hasan al-‘Ash’ari, the leader of the people of the Sunnah, who cited the beliefs of the followers of the Qur’an and the Sunnah, which included belief in the existence of Paradise and Hell and they’re being created.

He also asserted that both Paradise and Hell will remain forever.

He repeated at the end of the book the beliefs of the followers of the Qur’an and the Sunnah from the’Masa’il’of Harb, one of the disciples and followers of Imam Ahmad.

He dealt with another issue which was debated among the Muslim scholars which is about the Garden where Adam was lodged after being created and expelled from it: was it on earth or was it the same Garden which the believers will enter?

He presented the arguments of both groups and was inclined to support the view that it was on earth. He then goes to describe the gates, numbers, levels, names, wideness and keepers of Paradise, and all that Allah has prepared in it for His successful and devoted worshippers.
