The Final Messenger, Muhammad 3% has left us a wealth of instructions on this subject, and in compiling this selection, Dr. Bah has made the essential hadith directly accessible to non-Arabic speakers, especially those who have recently discovered the teachings of Islam.

The compiling of this book started on a most fortuitous occasion in April 2000, by the will of the Almighty.

I was working on a different project about the Day of Judgement and needed detailed information from the hadith.

 No sooner had I consulted a few sources than I found myself with an incredibly large number of hadith on the topic. There was no way for me to use the information without systematically processing it.

As I started the work, it occurred to me that a comprehensive and distilled compilation might benefit other researchers engaged in the subject, Muslim and non-Muslim alike.

 I also realized that, just like the initial project on which I had been working, this new project might stimulate the reader’s awareness of death and the Final Judgement, and thereby serve an even greater purpose, as those phenomena apply to all members of society, not only researchers.
