THE BULLY KING
In a faraway land there lived a very powerful King who built himself a beautiful palace.
He liked it so much that he would not let anyone near it. One day the King was strolling around his palace admiring its beauty when he came across the hut. “Who does this hut belong to?” He shouted.
He was told it belonged to a poor old woman.
On hearing this, the King became very angry. ‘Destroy this hut now!” He thought to himself, why should a poor old woman build a hut next to his beautiful palace and so the King ordered the hut to be destroyed When the old woman came back she could not believe her eyes.
Her hut had been destroyed. She asked the onlooking people, ‘Who has done this to my hut?”
It was the King.”
They said. Allah heard the old woman’s prayer and ordered Angel Jibraeel to destroy the King’s palace with the people in it* and so it was done.
