Book Description

The book introduces a new thinking to look at charity in Islam. It was motivated by my graduate studies in natural sciences but also living in different societies with people with different cultures and religions. Indeed, every chapter of the book starts with personal experiences in different countries that inspired me to write this book.

The two first chapters of the book contain a scientific approach (2nd law of thermodynamics) and a spiritual look at water cycle to show that movements in nature are all driven by Charity as the Divine Science. Because humanity is part of the universe, we are also supposed to obey the divine laws of charity. Therefore, based on the Quran and the Prophet’s (PBUH) sayings, the next three chapters are about the importance of charity in Islam.

Now, since consumption is a selfish behaviour opposite to charity, the book tries to explain that the global challenges (Global warming and Covid-19) we are facing today could be signs from Allah (SWT) for humanity to change our lifestyle from consumerism to charity-based societies.

Because education is key to solve these global challenges, the book also proposes an educational model based on the teaching methods (analogies and active learning) of Prophet Mohamed (PBUH).

The last chapter of the book is about Paradise as the Eternal Spring for those whose life is mainly based on charity-based activities.
