 The teachings of brotherhood are clear in the Qur’an and the Sunnah of the Prophet (saas), and every Muslim must abide by these teachings to ensure a harmoniously balanced and properly functioning society.

If we fail to adhere to these teachings and instead act according to our emotional feelings and desires, dissension and division will be inevitable. In Islam, there is a strong emphasis on maintaining good relations with family and community members, irrespective of whether they are Muslim or non-Muslim.

The virtues of patience, tolerance and understanding, forgiveness, mutual kindness, sympathy, and concern are all qualities of a good practicing Muslim.

 Good manners and behavior are also meritorious qualities reflecting iman and taqwa. Muslim women have certain rights, duties, and responsibilities towards their fellow sisters-in-Islam.

These rights and obligations should be honored at all times.

If we fail to uphold these rights, we will not only fail to fulfill our duty towards Allah (SWR) and towards our fellow Muslim sisters, but we will also fail to reap benefits and rewards for ourselves in this life and the Next.
